Ta da! Here we are
Jump! has been a
beehive of activity since we opened the doors for the first class last
Tuesday morning.
I have had this vison of using gymnastics to build children's
physical literacy for a number of years so its been pretty amazing to
see your children bring it to life. What a wonderful first week!
There have already been plenty of giggles, some smooth moves and a few
proud milestones, but most of all a lots of fun as the little ones
explore their new space.
They are doing what kids do best - actively playing. After 15
years teaching gymnastics you would think that there wouldn't be much I
hadn't seen - but every day I'm impressed by the creativity that
children bring to physical movment. As a few parents pointed out this
week, this isn't a gym as much as it is a studio.
During this first session we will be adding new features frequently so
there will be plenty more opportunities for your leapfrog to exercise
their imagination..
Knowing how
much kids like to talk about the new people in their lives, here's some
names you'll be hearing around the house. Joining me on the
Jump! Team are Leanne, Zoey and Lindsay. They bring with them a wealth
of knowledge, years of experience and a joy for working with children. Find out more about the team.
And meanwhile,
there's been some exciting stuff happening outside the studio. The
parent's lounge has already taken on a life of its own - it is
wonderful to see Jump! parents making connections. And thank you to all
of you who are making the family centred part of Jump! a reality -
we're enjoying getting to know your family and learning what makes your
child unique.
Thank
you for being part of the Jump! community,
Jen
